Big t’ings tonight, with this month’s EA Love going down in East Atlanta. Drop Bombz & Wobble House have kept the night going for several months now, bringing together Atlanta’s finest DJs and live hip hop acts for a night of debauchery and dope beats. I am scheduled to play alongside Quadrant’s Cyanide, who has released music for Moving Shadow, Fokuz, and Citrus Recordings, including a personal fav of mine, Rage & Rapture. Techy-female-vocal business. You’ve heard it in the club…
So, I nabbed a few tunes from Beatport, set Logic to record, and smashed them together on three decks. It’s a funky mix of hard drum & bass and techy dubstep. Here it is for free download. Enjoy.
Canada’s Golden boy dj returns to Atlanta for a very special Valentine’s Day party. Montreal-based DJ and producer Max Graham has earned international recognition commanding the charts with his productions and remixes while shaking dance floors world wide.

Come kick back a few drinks and shake ya ass at Blue Olive this Thursday in East Cobb. Catch Mayhem fresh from his European tour, cos I know he picked up some heat while he was there, and his cross-genre sets are always CRUNK! Wes brings the funk with his breaks sets, and I’ve got some exclusive dubstep bizness, courtesy of some of ATL’s producers and some unreleased bits from Corinthian Recordings’ sister label, WWT. We could never do this without Proppa MC who always keeps the vibe hype!

What a great time. The venue was tucked away deep in Atlanta’s west side, surrounded by anonymous buildings. It was tricky finding the place because it wasn’t actually on the street from the address. The general complex was, but the entrance to Beyond faced the intersecting street, Metropolitan Pkwy, behind a chain link fence guarding the narrow passage way to a short set of stairs that led inside. Thankfully, Girly Beats stood at the street to guide us in!
Once inside, the atmosphere was dark. The high ceiling and open layout made it comfortable to move around, and the sound filled all the corners of the huge space. The bartenders were real cool, although I did get a Sunny-Delight-and-Vodka once instead of a Cranberry and Vodka, like I’d asked. No big deal.
The DJ who was bringing in the decks and mixer was not going to show, so I loaded up all my gear and set it up, ready to go, when he arrived at the last minute with everything in tow. We agreed that it would be best that we just leave mine put away, as I knew I wasn’t staying until 9 am. Needless to say, the dance really got moving with my first track, You’re Not Me by Hatfield & Beckers, and kept heaving through a steep selection of Barem’s minimal gems. I built up the pace enough to drop Nine Inch Nails‘ remix of Happiness In Slavery, from the Fixed EP. Grab it below. It’s hard and noisy and harsh. Classic Nine Inch Nails.
About ninety-five minutes into the set, I kicked up the heat and brought in a selection of some mean, dirty, techy breaks, and with just a quater-hour left of my set, I snuck in some tasty drum & bass tracks. After considering Voytech’s request to bring the energy back to a “housey” level, I ended my set with an older tune, Junkie XL’s Blue Pill, Red Pill, from 2003’s The AnimatrixSoundtrack, which still sounds fresh,to the ecstatic and enthusiastic surprise of the crowd.
I don’t usually get to play techno sets, so I was really looking forward to this one. Thanks to Mandy [Girly Beats], X-Jay, and Voytech for having me out.
